Memphis shootings: Gunman Mavis Christian Jr hunted by police after 4 women killed
A huge manhunt has been launched for an “armed and extremely dangerous” gunman after four women were killed and another critically injured in a spate of shootings.
Mavis Christian Jr, 52, is believed to be responsible for three separate gun attacks across Memphis, Tennessee. Police say anyone who sees him should not approach him and instead call 911 immediately. Police said the suspect fled the scene in his white 2017 Chevrolet Malibu.
Memphis authorities responded to calls of a shooting on the 100 Block of Howard Drive at 9.22pm on Saturday. Officers located a woman with an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the incident was a domestic violence case.
