Rifle Tips for Fighting Around a Car
IMHO, The armed civilian can find about a dozen more important things to drill on than fighting in and around vehicles, but this article is different in that it applies some very practical (versus couch Rambo) advice if you do find yourself in this Ass-Puckering Level 1 situation.
The theme you will see again and again in this article is COVER IS LIFE.
Putting something, ANYTHING, between you and a bullet is a good move. If it stops or even marginally disrupts the flight path and overall integrity of the bullet, that’s a win.
The most important things you can take away from this article is this:
LEARN TO SHOOT FROM BEHIND/AROUND COVER EFFECTIVELY.
If you are like me, one of the primary things you will need to learn to do this is learning to transition shoulder to shoulder in order to keep the majority of your body safely BEHIND cover.
