(Editor’s note – making preparations like these for yourself and your loved ones allows you to be better focused on the task at hand during a widespread disaster or emergency.)
In this article, we examine Jase Medical and review one of its better-known products: the Jase Medical Base Case.
Why You Need Emergency Meds:
A storm has torn through your state, damaging homes, businesses, and vital infrastructure. Roads are blocked, and cities are without power. You try calling for help, but cell phone service is spotty, and your calls are not getting through. Walking the perimeter of your home to assess the damage, you cut your leg on a rusty, storm-damaged fence. You’ll need to clean and dress your wound and probably start a course of antibiotics. But, the hospitals are all overwhelmed with everything from serious storm-related injuries to heart attacks.
You try to reach your doctor, but the answering service says the office is closed and they can only take a message. A few days later, your leg is red, painfully swollen, and throbbing. Even if you do manage to speak to a doctor, there’s little chance of getting any prescriptions filled since most stores, including many pharmacies, are without power and still closed. You’ve heard many horror stories of people dying from untreated infections, and you’re starting to get concerned.
To make matters worse, you are running low on your heart meds and your spouse’s diabetes medication. Yesterday, while talking to a neighbor, you heard that the storm has impacted the supply chains, including food and medication deliveries. If that’s true, even after the power comes back on, it may be quite some time before the pharmacies are restocked. You are quickly running out of options.
