Unlike a lot of Texans I am not jumping for joy over this ruling because like 98% of most of the Laws that Globalist Abbott and his ilk have thought up and passed recently they will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to Make Texas Safer and STOP the Federally subsidized illegal immigration INVASION.
Besides being an absolute JOKE, the law — known as SB4 — authorizes local police and the Texas Department of Public Safety to detain anyone suspected of entering the country illegally — and if they are found to have done so they will be handed state charges which give effectively the person a choice of prison or voluntarily leaving the country.
Yeah you read that right it, this is NOT arresting and deporting, this is giving ILLEGALS (the criminal) a CHOICE of prison or voluntarily leaving the country!
In addition to being a SHAM, all this ruling will do is put more stress on an already overstretched and under-funded State and Local Texas Law Enforcement.
Most folks don’t realize that over two-thirds of Texas State Law Enforcement manpower (ie Texas Department of Public Safety or DPS) is allocated for border security duties which means they are not in their respective counties doing their every day jobs.
More to the point, the stress these arrest will put on local County and State jails which are already overcrowded and under-staffed will be catastrophic because I seriously doubt the Feds in their infinite bureaucratic wisdom will allow these ILLEGALS (not Newcomers) to be immediately deported. They will be most likely have to be transferred to a ICE Holding Facility (which most of the time is a large county jail like Harris County in Houston).
All this boils down to is what I like to Call “Window Dressing/Status Quo Politics”.
It makes Abbott and his ilk look strong on Immigration issues but in reality it is doing nothing substantial to stop it.
If Abbott really cared about Texas and wanted to STOP this Federally Backed Invasion he would support the Texas Nationalist Movement and SECEDE.
The Only way to Move Forward is to CUT the malignant cancer (The Federal Government) out so the viable healthy tissue (The Sovereign Republic of Texas) can LIVE.
