US approves chicken made from cultivated cells, the nation’s first ‘lab-grown’ meat

 

 

This comes on the heels of the largest fake meat factory in the world being built in Spain in 2024.

I remember growing up when we would go out to eat my dad would always ask the waitress if their Chicken Fried Steak’s was “real” meat.

What he meant by that is were the patties pressed and frozen like in the school lunch cafeteria or did they use fresh ground chuck like mom made?

FYI: For all you non-Southerners out there, there is NO Chicken in a Chicken Fried Steak, the “Chicken” part refers to how it is fried crispy like fried chicken.

Fast forward to 2024 and that question about the meat being “REAL” is literal!

I can just see it now:

“Excuse me waitress, is your Chicken Fried Steak made from REAL meat, as in meat slaughtered from an animal?”

Cue lib-turd melt down and proceeding article in the Atlantic about restaurant wait staff needing PTSD counseling because customers routinely ask about REAL meat from poor helpless animals being slaughtered.
