States Rights: Will Nevada be the next “Shot heard around the World”?

 

The encroachment of that bloated organism called the “Federal Government” into state sovereignty has reached crisis proportions. While most of America has been busying themselves worrying about 2nd Amendment rights, and rightly so, few have concerned themselves with the often neglected issue of our 10th Amendment rights; the RIGHTS OF THE STATE.

Enter Cliven Bundy, a 67-year-old, Nevada rancher whose Mormon family has been ranching the land for over 140 years. Bundy has been battling the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) for two decades in the courts over the right for his cattle to graze on so-called “protected federal land” that also happens to be home to an endangered “desert tortoise”.

Since this story broke, there has been a flood of theories over the REAL reason the Fed’s want Bundy’s land,(read one of the best HERE) and although I cannot state with certainty if any of these theories are true, I can say with certainty, that the national blowback over this issue has been enormous. The effects of it can be likened to Pre-Revolution America, when the TRUE PATRIOTS nationwide unified with a common goal and a common foe. This event perhaps has also awakened those who have been in a groggy, ambivalent sleep, not believing Thomas Jefferson’s maxim that:

 “A government big enough to give you everything you want, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have.”

Recently, events took a “Stasi” like totalitarian turn, when the BLM surrounded Bundy’s Clark county ranch with armed goons, K-9 Dogs and  helicopters; armed with a court order, they began seizing Bundy’s cattle and hauling them away. Tempers eventually flared on both sides of the line, and chaos ensued…….

Being a student of history, I can tell you most assuredly that EVENTS like this can and eventually, will be the spark that finally ignites the flame. And with rhetoric hot on both sides talking about a “Repeat of Waco”, I urge all CO’s to remember that “Shot heard around the World”  fired by an outnumbered, rag tag band of colonial militiamen at North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts in 1775 ..that shot ignited a nation..a nation that after much bloodshed, and after shedding the chains of tyranny, could call itself America.

 UPDATE as of 4-13-14:  It appears the Fed’s have decided to back off, but still vow “legal action” against Bundy.  Read that story HERE.

Patriots nationwide must ready themselves for events like these, as there will be many more to come, I am sure. But we must understand also the role events like this play in the big scheme of things in relation to “Winning the Narrative” or winning the “PR (Public Relations) Struggle”. Events like this expose the Fed’s willingness to back up blatant Constitutional Abuses with Gestapo type  “strongarm” tactics. One can only deduct from historical precedent, that National sympathy for people like Bundy will eventually turn into national outrage as events like this continue.
