What do you do when the System is Broke?

The same system that is ALLEGEDLY PROTECTING you and your family?

The same SYSTEM who takes your TAX DOLLARS every year to do a JOB they FAIL to do repeatedly?

Answer:  You do WHATEVER YOU HAVE TOO to keep your Family safe. Because a CO SHOULD NOT BE DEPENDENT on anything or anyone except himself and his skill-sets to protect what is his!

An incident that occurred last week in Lafayette, Louisiana played out like an episode of TV’s Law and Order, except this time the story was not created in the mind of some liberal screenwriter, the story, (and the victim), were REAL. Read that story HERE.

When I first read about this case, a few things struck me. First, was the awesome courage and strength of the Arceneaux Family. These people represent everything that is TRUE & PURE about the American Spirit. They did not sit on their hands waiting for somebody else to do something, they got out there and did what had to be done. The second thing that struck me was the utter, pathetic failure of the County Jail, Local Law Enforcement and the District Attorney’s office to Protect this poor woman. This incident most likely could have been avoided if proper protocol had been followed. Let me explain: Anytime a Protective Order has been issued against a person, and then that person is  incarcerated and then released on bail, the JAIL is BOUND BY LAW to Contact Local Law Enforcement, who then is BOUND BY LAW to make contact with the issuing party of the Protective Order and notify them of the person’s release. Especially in cases of Domestic Abuse and Assault, in which this guy (Thomas) had a history of a mile long, EVERY ATTEMPT needed to be made to contact Arceneaux and her family and give them a heads up of Thomas’ release; it was not done, and as a result, an innocent woman was kidnapped, assaulted and almost murdered. If it had not been for the bravery and quick action of her family, this story would have had a tragic ending.

Let this be a Lesson to all CO’s: The Legal System as a whole (combined with Law Enforcement) was not initially designed to be PRO-ACTIVE in PROTECTING Individuals. It was designed as a POST Incident Investigative Service, basically made to investigate crimes, find the perpetrator(s), arrest them, try him in a court of law and send them to prison or to their death. The act of PHYSICALLY PROTECTING ONESELF from Criminals has, from the very beginning,(and as stated in our Constitution and Bill of Rights) been placed in the hands of the Individual, not the Authorities or Government; thus the dire importance of keeping the 2nd Amendment intact, so this RIGHT can be practiced. People that disagree with this precept are by their own ignorance, allowing (or demanding) that the Government  have TOTAL CONTROL over their lives, and by consequence, be TOTALLY DEPENDENT on them for their EVERY NEED, including Domestic Protection. As we have seen from the above story, this is a dangerous mindset to have, because as well-intentioned as some agencies are to truly protect people, they predominantly fall victim to their own devices, mostly bureaucratic red tape, laziness and ineptness. The worst part is that the System is growing bigger and bigger by the day and most people instead of seeking independence from it, are running to it to become its slave.

So Stay Independent, Stay Frosty and by all means, Stay Dangerous!!
