Disappearing Cheap Labor Mexicans
My first job after the Army was framing houses and apartments. I did this early 80s to mid 90s. About 98% of the framers were White. Both in Colorado and California. I started out at 9$ hour as an apprentice until I was making 6-7 times over minimum wage. And then you started to see a shift. All Mexican crews. All speaking Spanish. And it wasn’t just framing. Pretty much everything in housing construction got taken over by Mexican cheap labor. And with it came shoddy work. I remember one job site where they had to tear down the frame of a 2 story house with a loft in the 2nd floor. Not one wall was plumb. It was amusing seeing the contractor in a tractor tearing it all down. That was several thousand dollars frame material. Who do you think ate it? It was about that time I started looking for work other than framing. Got a job as a Chemical Miller apprentice. I use to mill the domes on the external Space Shuttle tanks. After about 2 1/2 years, there was a mass layoff. What to do? Since I grew up around Automobile and Tractor Mechanics, pre-computer/sensor days, I went to the local college and took Automotive Electrical – Computer and Control classes. Then went and took all the ASE Tests and also got my Smog License.
And then there was a local independent Automotive shop that hired nothing but Mexicans. Why pay them 25 to 40 dollars an hour when you can pay them minimum wage? It was nothing but a disaster.
Los Angeles Chief Recovery Officer Steve Soboroff told Hollywood talent agents on Thursday that half of the laborers necessary for construction work in rebuilding fire-damaged areas could be “deported” by immigration enforcement.
Let that sink in.
But they’re doing jobs that White people won’t do! No, White guys used to make a living from these jobs until cheap labor Mexicans, mostly illegals, suppressed White man wages until they couldn’t make a living… unless you made a White mans crew and of 5-6 guys and shared a house/apartment. Before I moved a year plus ago, I had 2 houses of Mexican neighbors that did just that.
