The way things are going I firmly believe that in my lifetime (the next 30 years?) I will live to see both Pedophilia and Euthanasia legalized in FUSA.
Being a writer and having a flare for the dramatic, I partially agree with Tom Shackleford (the author of the linked article) in speculating that our hellish dystopian future will be something most likely resembling Soylent Green.
But I think if you want to be realistic about it, you should consider the novel/movie Children of Men as well.
For those of you that have not read or seen that one the plot line in a nutshell is the world is being de-populated because of mass infertility and the Government, in their wonderful generosity condones and promotes “Quietus” for infirmed and elderly citizens (elderly being defined as anybody over 60).
In the novel “Quietus” is mass drownings but in the movie it is a mail-order package containing a “peaceful sounds and landscapes” DVD and a handy-dandy euthanasia drug. (Don’t snicker, you might see something like this in Canada in the next year!)
So much for the future being so bright you gotta wear shades, in this dystopian hell I would suggest MIL-PRF 32432 Ballistic Fragmentation eyewear.
