Well folks down here in my area of Texas (Eastern) we are having some power grid issues.
Yesterday our power went off for two and a half hours beginning at 4:30 p.m. pretty much in the heat of the day. Instead of switching to the genny’s me and the wife loaded up the fur babies and went for a drive in the truck to get a sno-cone in town. By the time we got back it was back on.
Today starting around 3 p.m. we started having intermittent power failures and then a Power Use Warning from ERCOT to “Conserve Power” as much as possible until 8 p.m.
In the big scheme of things, the fact that we actually have power is a blessing.
In several neighboring counties to our north there are still thousands without power due to storms that moved through this past weekend.
This is not my first rodeo with power outages (I lived through three hurricanes and the blizzard of 2021) so I already have my Generators primed and ready and everything staged for me and the wife unit and the fur babies to stay cool.
I have a feeling this Summer is going to be an ass kicker on Power Grid’s all over the U.S., so Prepare Accordingly.
Just remember folks: Nobody is Coming to Save You, You are on Your Own!
