Shelf Life of .22 Rimfire Ammunition: Test of 65+ Year Old Ammo

The author’s experience with storing .22LR ammo is the same as mine.

If you store it in airtight containers at reasonable temps your ammo should keep for well over 65+ years.

For .22LR and .22WMR ammo instead of the good ole’ Mason jar (as shown above) I have used airtight containers like the one pictured below with great success.
