The American System of Law rest upon the precept that Presumption of Innocence and Due Process are inalienable RIGHTSafforded to all Citizens.
When those in power choose to ignore these rights for the sake of political expediency the System of Law becomes bunk and the ideal of “Justice for All” a sham.
History bears stark witness to Government leaders that think they can “make things up as they go along” and choose instead to go down the path of Tyranny and Despotism.
Our own Founding Fathers warned us in that unchanging legal instrument in which this Country was founded, the United States Constitution:
“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
