New Waze Feature Reminds You That Your Child is in the Car

You know how I am always going on and on about “Paying attention to your surroundings” and “Living in the Moment” and all that?

Well folks, I take a different approach than the author of the above article and I say when a GPS app has to add a reminder into their software FOR YOU NOT TO FORGET YOUR OWN FRIGGIN’ CHILD IN THE CAR, THIS IS A NOT A SIGN OF A TECH COMPANY “THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX”, IT IS A SUREFIRE SIGN THAT WE, AS A SOCIETY, NEED TO GET OUR HEAD OUT OF OUR COLLECTIVE ASSES AND UP OUR AWARENESS GAME!

I get really tired of saying this, but STOP RELYING ON TECHNOLOGY TO REMIND YOU TO HAVE THE BASIC SURVIVAL SKILL OF AWARENESS!

START PAYING ATTENTION TO YOUR PRIORITIES, which if you are a Parent, IS YOUR CHILDREN’S SAFETY!

Stay Alert, Stay Alert and Stay Alert!!

You didn’t have to post the comment-it’s early for me too-been up every hour for the past week shooting coons that are trying to kill our chickens-they got two hens but I’m up to number 11 in this weeks dead coons.

No worries. Coons huh? Sounds like our pig problem down here.

Yeah-but you can eat the feral hogs-the coons just get chucked into ravine behind house for coyote food. At least I can get a few $$ for the ‘yote furs if I get ’em in winter.

Wait…You are not eating the coons? I can make you a coon stew you would really like.

Darwin does not approve of this post.

I especially enjoy hearing about the brain dead idiots who drive off of cliffs while following the directions from their GPS.
    How stupid can you be?
    Apparently THAT stupid.

The world is over capacity with complete morons, situational awareness would dictate that you identify and avoid as many of these people as possible to help ensure your own survival.

LOL, Thank You Phil, sometimes I feel as if I am banging my head against a wall.

What really gets me is all these Tech Writers who actually PRAISE these App makers for adding this “Don’t Forget your Kid in the backseat” software as if it is some kind of “out of the box” thinking??? WTF?? Did we all just fall down a rabbit hole or something?

Since when did technology replace common sense and basic survival skills?

The coons up here are spreading rabies, and a few other diseases, our department of natural resources-Ohio’s version of fish and game-issued warnings about eating the coons.

    Ughhhh…Yeah don’t eat that.

Reminds me of this lady we would see sometimes when we went fishing….she lived in the woods down by the Trinity river, she was an honest to god “Hermit Lady” lived totally off the grid. After about a week of no sightings, some fishermen reported her missing to the Game Wardens who had contact with her a few times a year…they went to her place and she had signs posted 100 yds from her front door “DO NOT ENTER..I AM SICK AND DYING” long story short, she had leprosy….she had eaten an undercooked armadillo. She refused medical treatment and died like a year later from pneumonia or something like that.
