In La Feria Texas, a drug “rip-off” crew that apparently raids drug houses and operatives and steals their cash and drugs has set of a massive man hunt that has resulted in the lock-down of several area schools.
Apparently, the lock-down was triggered by a failed home invasion, though details are unclear. Authorities have confirmed the arrest of two gunman, though several others remain at large, according to Breitbart Texas.
These types of crimes are a disturbing trend along the border; just last May, 15 heavily armed members of a rip=off crew stormed a house near Harlingen Texas, shooting a 33 year old woman and small child. Apparently, the crew had hit the wrong house.

In Piedras Negras Coahuilla, the Mexican sister city of Eagle Pass Texas, Los Zetas Gunmen fired a RPG rocket at a Special Police Unit Headquarters according to Breitbart Texas. The rocket missed the building and landed, unexploded in a nearby field. Local Federales EOD units were called in and deactivated it. The Special Police Unit that was located in the building, Known as the GATES, are basically a form of SWAT and made a name for themselves fighting the vicious Los Zetas cartel. The Los Zetas are a group of highly trained enforcers and assassins that broke away from the Gulf Cartel (CDG) in 2010. Their territory spans just shy of El Paso to just West of Laredo.

The US Senate blocks the Sanctuary City Bill. This bill would have stripped federal funding for cities and other communities that do not honor request from immigration officials to hold CRIMINAL illegal aliens in their jails.
