Oh Yeah..how about some venison backstrap in the crockpot slow-cooked for 8 hrs with some onions, potatoes and carrots? Also have some homemade wild boar and venison sausage and a smoked turkey…all killed by my own hand. But I will really hurt myself on is my wife’s desserts…I will most likely be OUT OF COMMISSION on Friday, just sayin…. 🙂
Run all of that off!
“I want to be a drill instructor; I want to cut off all of my hair…”
Run?? For Exercise!!?? Good God No. Now a days, I Run Only When Chased…and slowly at that. 🙂
“Not as lean, and not as mean, but still a MARINE!”
I used to run six miles in the morning and six miles in the evening. I used to foot chase the brothers in the ghetto I worked in, and none escaped when I hit like Dick Butkus. A friend who ws USMC Intel in DaNang, used to laugh and shout, “Boy! You ain’t gonna outrun him! Give up!”, and he would be laughing when I walked the perp back in handcuffs. (To be young again…)
My oldest daughter just ran and completed the NYC 26 mile marathon. She was full of aches, and I felt what she was feeling. My son said, “She’s nuts, like you”.
The same to you and yours-may you have great food, spend time with family, and everyone have something to be thankful for !
Back atcha – have one fantastic Thanksgiving weekend!!
From Pacific Paratrooper…
Same over to you and your family.
Any venison on the table? (Maybe venison liver with onions, or venison heart with onion and fennel?)
