As someone who’s been blogging in the preparedness space off and on for 20 years now, I’ve seen a thing or six. I’m going to share something I’m confident is going to happen with the hopes it doesn’t happen to you.
While I have no empirical evidence of this – I’m basing what follows on anecdotal information in the form of emails I’ve received over the years – I’m betting the majority of you reading this voted for Donald Trump. I’m also willing to bet most in the preparedness community who voted for him are now going to slow down their preparedness efforts because he won.
That is a terrible mistake, and you will regret it if you do the same.
If you’re reading this blog, odds are you were not in this group of Trump supporters who slowed down your preparedness efforts when he was president. But I can promise you a lot of people who thought of themselves as preppers during the Obama administration all but stopped prepping in 2017 and didn’t resume until 2021 when their guy was no longer president.
