In the pantheon of WW2 Movies, Fury is not that good of a movie, but for our purposes here today, I want to discuss a theme many fellow martial citizens can relate to:
Self-Sufficiency and the realization that you cannot depend on any form of Government or “Higher Chain-of-Command” for you, your team or your families welfare.
In this scene in the first act of the movie, the Fury tank and it’s crew return from battle to a forward operating base to drop off their KIA, re-fit, re-supply and receive new orders.
When their pathetic, pubescent looking OIC ask where the rest of the outfit is, War Daddy replies: “We’re It.”
Did you notice he did not say “I’m it?”
He said “WE are It”
Understand when the chips are down you MUST think LOCAL!
COMMUNITY and TEAM is everything in a SHTF scenario/disaster.
Just ask the folks in Asheville and Boone, North Carolina.
