The FBI was “hellbent on war.”

Ammon Bundy, the leader of a group of protesters occupying federal land in eastern Oregon, was taken into custody Tuesday night and the group’s spokesman, Robert “Layoy” Finicum was shot dead by law enforcement.

One of Finicum’s daughter’s claims the circumstances surrounding her father’s death make those involved guilty of murder.

The FBI and Oregon State Police arrested Ammon Bundy, 40, his brother Ryan, 43, Brian Cavalier, 44, Shawna Cox, 59, and Ryan Payne, 32, at around 4:25 p.m. local time on U.S. Highway 395, according to Fox News. The group was reportedly traveling to the town of John Day, approximately 70 miles from where their protest is taking place in the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, when they were pulled over.

Three others who participated in the the standoff with the federal government over land use were also arrested: Joseph O’Shaughnessy, 45, and Peter Santilli, 50, were arrested in the nearby town of Burns, Ore., and Jon Ritzheimer, 32, turned himself in to the Peoria, Arizona, police department.

The FBI states that all eight men face federal felony charge of conspiracy to impede officers of the United States from discharging their official duties through the use of force, intimidation or threats.

Fox News reports it is not clear what the circumstances were regarding the arrest of Bundy’s group, which resulted in shots being fired and the death of Finicum. The protest group wrote on its Facebook page:

“Levoy Finicum was Shot and murdered in Cold blood today in Burns Oregon by the FBI and State Law enforcement. He had his hands up and was shot 3 Times. This Man Is one of the best Patriots, Husband, Father, Grandfather, friend and Neighbor, that this world will ever know. Spread this far and wide!”

A Facebook account reportedly operated by one of Finicum’s 11 children, Thara Tenney, also said Finicum was cooperating, according to Fox.

“I want the world to know how my father was murdered today,” Tenney’s post said. “His hands were in the air and he was shot in the face by the American authorities. Ammon Bundy reported there are six witnesses to this evil.”

With the group’s leaders in custody, and one dead, it’s unknown whether the occupation will continue to play out over the next hours and days.

Perhaps the congressional member who was having talks there, has some answers.
MSM reported that “shots were exchanged”. Nothing about being unarmed. Who was doing the shooting? The FBI is authorized to use deadly physical force to secure the arrest(s), and considering felony grade, whether we like it or not, federal legislators enacted laws favoring law enforcement. Doing the car stop as was done, is good use of officer tactics. It also places the seige location in jeopardy as a feeding frenzy will take place, next. Everyone should have gone home long ago, but stood to make a point. Now what? A bird sanctuary to be the cause and place for an expected revolution? All of the issues needed to be handled by the courts and the congressional members of the Upper and Lower Houses, should have gotten involved, and the voters should have demanded congressional presence, but something went wrong.
The federal deck is stacked and all of their cards are marked. A man is dead, and nobody, is asking or demanding answers who is on the federal level, indicates, the results, were what they were seeking, meaning, not the FBI, but the US Congress. More congressional scheming, and the GOP (Give Obama Power!) and the DNC (Decidedly Now Communist), it’s business as usual, because voters remain stupid. Let’s see how the seige progresses. We all know, it will go against those there.

As for the actual confrontation, only eye-witness accounts by NON-FEDERAL employees will be accepted IMO, unless we have un-edited dash cam or body cam footage, which the way things are heading, I seriously doubt.

This also brings up another point: If this Govt. is all into “Law Enforcement Transparency” Why doesn’t Federal Law Enforcement have to wear body-cams? Is that to say only State and Local LE need to be monitored for compliance and violations of citizens civil rights? Particularly of young black men??HA!!! What a joke!! How about White Patriots??

Sounds like the “LaVoy Act”, may be the outcome of the whole mess.

Yeah or watch them start a Memorial Fund with our own tax dollars…what a sham.

The press conference was not the greatest. Everyone is covering their asses. The sheriff is the wrong guy for the job because he was near tears. That means that he has never seen a dead human.
The FBI agent in charge of that area said the persons remaiining at the building should leave and will be stopped and identified on the way out. They are answering by the book. They know there will be bigtime civil litigation for wrongful death against all of the agents involved, and, the other shoe has not dropped yet, concerning outside militia involvement or possibility of sparking violence somewhere else. Maybe they realize that rifles, can shoot a long way, and not only their snipers have talent. That’s what would be on my mind. I started thinking, how many of those ranchers own helicopters? This might not be over in the conventional sense. From the body language, they are not willing to bleed or die, for what has happened, and many are pissed off.
I still blame congress for not stepping in, and I blame the local representatives who are on Capitol Hill, and only going through the motions. They’re the villains, and they made the laws or supported BLM kangaroo laws.

Yeah they closed ranks fast didn’t they? And that sheriff I think needs to be relieved…this is all just too much for him, not only the shooting, but the emotional drain…I have seen that in combat..leaders being overwhelmed and feeling helpless…yeah that dude is at the end of his rope and needs to step off for a minute and regain composure, because I think he just got a small taste of what this entire country is in for if things go South on this deal.
Public Support is everything in a Guerilla War, and once you LOSE Legitimacy for your Cause, you have Lost the Farm. This goes for both sides.

Sheriff cannot step off momentarily. He had the shakes. He’s finished. He’s going to have nightmares for years. PTSD. He failed to maintain command of the situation and allowed himself to get pushed around by the federal bureaucrats who intimidated him with their authority. Any federal agency can operate but, sheriff always has the final say and, everything goes to the sheriff for approval, because it’s his county. Line of work is not for him. Scrub.

I don’t care if he steps off, steps down or does the TX 2 step…somebody better get their head out of their ass or more people are gonna die. Moving On.

I have been trying to understand this affair via your coverage; but am feeling very ignorant. It sounds similar to what happened in AZ, but what sparked the incident? Did the feds mess with ranchers there? Is this the same Bundy as in AZ or just the same last name?

All I needed to refresh my memory was to read the first part of the WND column. SOB feds! Ranchers who know how to maintain land, and respond to control fires were convicted? This egregious repeated encroachment is war, whether the dumbed down -take the “L” out of Public- realizes it or not.

Yeah it was a bad deal, but IMO it was handled terribly by all “militia” involved. Poor communication among groups and even worse coordination of action. The most important thing to have in an uprising or a guerilla action like this is Public support…to have that you have to start with and retain LEGITIMACY in your cause. As soon as they went in and illegally occupied a building of little to no worth to anybody, much less the Fed Govt., they lost LEGITIMACY, both in the country and more importantly in the local community. I only hope no one else gets hurt because of stupidity.
