There is an army depending on us for correct information. You can lie all you please when you tell other folks about the rangers, but don\u2019t never lie to a ranger or\u00a0officer \u2013 Rogers Rangers<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It is now officially time we all had a talk about this \u2018Stolen Valor\u2019 craziness.<\/p>\n<p>Awhile back, I was at the airport in Chicago passing through on business and I had just finished dinner and was standing up in the process of paying my bill.\u00a0 I was a middle aged guy with a heavy five o\u2019clock shadow, physically fit without looking super athletic, and wearing civilian clothes \u2013 honestly, I didn\u2019t much look like a soldier.<\/p>\n<p>As I turned to go, this huge kid reeking of beer and at least a few percentage points over his tape test walked right up on me and blocked me from leaving, \u201810<sup>th<\/sup> MTN, huh?\u2019\u00a0 It took me a few seconds to register I had a tiny 10<sup>th<\/sup> MTN pin on my backpack which I had forgotten about.\u00a0 Before I could answer, he jabbed his finger at the pin and got super aggressive, \u2018What Battalion were you in?\u00a0 Who was your Commander?\u201d\u00a0 I already had my wallet out and I pulled my ID card and held it out and told him to \u2018back\u2019 off.\u00a0 He took a look, apologized and he left.<\/p>\n<p>My encounter ended well for me but this past weekend, it didn\u2019t\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/usmclife.com\/2015\/10\/fallujah-marine-veteran-beaten-over-mistaken-case-of-stolen-valor\/\">end so well<\/a>\u00a0 for Marine veteran, Michael Deflin.\u00a0 This Fallujah vet couldn\u2019t produce an active duty CAC card on request from some Air Force dude and therefore he got the crap kicked out of him.\u00a0 He suffered a broken leg and jaw in the process.\u00a0 Prior to him and his friend beating Deflin down, the USAF guy accused him of \u2018Stolen Valor\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations, we have now started conducting fratricide on our own.<\/p>\n<p>Read the Remainder at \u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.havokjournal.com\/culture\/stolen-valor-fratricide\/\">Havok Journal<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a Veteran, I have to second this guy&#8217;s plea; we have gone too far in checking these poser idiots when we start attacking our own!!
