For gun rights advocates, it\u2019s a clear victory against what many see as feel-good disarmament theater.<\/h2>\n<blockquote>\n<h2>\u201cThey\u2019ve not had any effect on reducing crime as far as gun crime in El Paso,\u201d said El Paso Republican Party Chairman Michael Aboud. \u201cIf they want to reduce that, they should go after the violent criminals.\u201d<\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>For years, El Paso County offered up to $200 for rifles\u2014including the dreaded \u201cassault weapons\u201d label politicians love to throw around.
