He\u2019s granted pardons at an absolutely insane rate, including some truly despicable characters. What\u2019s even more striking is that, unlike Bill Clinton or Donald Trump, there does not appear to be an obvious political motivation to these pardons. Bill Clinton blatantly sold off a pardon to a major donor (see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Marc_Rich\">Marc Rich<\/a>); while Trump took the opposite approach, pardoning\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/entertainment-arts-55730190\">violent black rappers<\/a>, including one who made a music video fantasizing about\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.salon.com\/2017\/03\/27\/forget-snoop-doggs-trump-beef-this-is-the-anti-trump-hip-hop-video-thats-really-going-viral\/\">killing rural Whites<\/a>.
