Having been charged with driving my daughter to school every morning this past Wed-Fri, I\u2019ve had the opportunity to listen to my favorite morning program, the Rise Guys, on my favorite radio station WTPT, yclept the Planet. Yesterday and today they took calls from poor souls who lost everything to the demon bitch Helene, with nearly all of said callers denouncing the FEMA thugs in most vehement terms. From helicopter pilots threatened with arrest for rescuing people and flying them to safety to (former) business owners in the environs of Lake Lure, the stories they told are nothing short of bloodcurdling, with the general consensus being that these FedGovCo goons are doing way more harm than good.<\/h2>\n

No less august a personage than the great Elon Musk himself has experienced the iron fist\u00a0in the velvet gubmint glove<\/a>.<\/h2>\n

Just received this note from a SpaceX engineer helping on the ground in North Carolina.<\/h2>\n

@FEMA is not merely failing to adequately help people in trouble, but is actively blocking citizens who try to help!<\/h2>\n

“Hey Elon, update here on site of Asheville, NC. We have powered up two large operating bases for choppers to deliver goods into hands. We’ve deployed 300+ starlinks and outpour is it has saved many lives.<\/h2>\n

The big issue is FEMA is actively blocking shipments and seizing goods and services locally and locking them away to state they are their own. It’s very real and scary how much they have taken control to stop people helping. We are blocked now on the shipments of new starlinks coming in until we get an escort from the fire dept. but that may not be enough.”<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

SpaceX engineers are trying to deliver Starlink terminals & supplies to devastated areas in North Carolina right now and\u00a0@FEMA<\/a>\u00a0is both failing to help AND won\u2019t let others help. This is unconscionable!!<\/h2>\n
