It seems we\u2019re currently trapped in a cycle of violent criminal activity, with the bad guys holding communities all over our nation, hostage.<\/h2>\n<h2>We\u2019ve seen this problem before in America, especially during that span of time from the \u201cOld West\u201d through the Great Depression, which was filled with criminal activity.<span id=\"more-12434\"><\/span>\u00a0In the early part of that era, the crooks rode horses, but by the time it was over, they were driving cars to make their getaways.<\/h2>\n<h2>A number of those crooks didn\u2019t get away, however, because armed citizens banded together to fight them. Instead of suffering these crimes as helpless victims, whole communities rose up to fight and stop the criminals.<\/h2>\n<h2>RevolverGuy readers probably recall some famous examples of this, like the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/revolverguy.com\/the-day-edward-okelly-picked-a-fight-with-the-wrong-police-officer\/\">James Gang\u2019s defeat in Northfield, Minnesota<\/a>, and the Dalton Gang\u2019s defeat in Coffeyville, Kansas, but there were others.
