When I began calculating the massive number of ways technology like this could be used in a negative fashion against the everyday citizen my stomach got nauseous.<\/h2>\n

There\u2019s nothing on earth scarier than receiving your very own \u201cworld ID.\u201d It\u2019s hard to imagine anything more frightening than being a bonafide \u201ccitizen of the world,\u201d where your money and very existence are left in the ghoulish hands of Big Tech and Big Government. The increasing integration of one\u2019s real life identity with online identity creates a whole new worlds of possibility for abuse on the part of the usual suspects. The integration of currency and payments into this mix is still more dangerous. Say something the government doesn\u2019t like? Get ready to have your digital wallet fined \u2014 or seized entirely. Indeed, this is the very infrastructure that serves as the precondition for the much maligned Chinese \u201csocial credit score system.\u201d Yet, sadly, this is the existence the regime is pushing for. Get ready for your eyeballs to be scanned, your social media to be scoured, and your bank accounts to be scrutinized, Global Citizen.<\/em><\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n
