{"id":6339,"date":"2015-07-01T07:00:14","date_gmt":"2015-07-01T12:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hcstx.org\/?p=6339"},"modified":"2015-07-01T07:00:14","modified_gmt":"2015-07-01T12:00:14","slug":"attacking-the-center-of-gravity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thetacticalhermit.com\/index.php\/2015\/07\/01\/attacking-the-center-of-gravity\/","title":{"rendered":"Attacking the Center of Gravity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:center;\">by<em><strong> Samuel Culper III<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry\">\n<p>One thing I teach in advanced Intelligence classes is what\u2019s called \u201cCenter of Gravity\u201d analysis. \u00a0That\u2019s a concept first described by Prussian military strategist and \u201ccerebral savage\u201d Carl von Clausewitz, and one that\u2019s now used in the Army and Marine Corps to describe any idea, base, or associations that are critical in enabling an adversarial force to continue the mission.<\/p>\n<p>Remember those gyroscopes you played with in grade school? \u00a0Perfect example of a \u201ccenter of gravity\u201d.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Gyroscope\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cquvA_IpEsA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>A gyroscope\u2019s center of gravity is the spinning wheel that allows it to stand up-right and balance. \u00a0When that wheel slows down or is otherwise disrupted, the whole thing falls down. \u00a0What is Earth\u2019s center of gravity? \u00a0If the sun were to be moved or its course altered, its\u00a0gravitational effects on Earth would change. \u00a0I\u2019m no astrophysicist, but I think the case could easily be made that all life as we know it would\u00a0end.<\/p>\n<p>Now consider the likely threats to your community in any SHTF scenario. \u00a0What is the Leroy Jenkins Gang\u2019s center of gravity?
