{"id":6309,"date":"2015-06-29T14:10:20","date_gmt":"2015-06-29T19:10:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hcstx.org\/?p=6309"},"modified":"2015-06-29T14:10:20","modified_gmt":"2015-06-29T19:10:20","slug":"bad-ass-of-the-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thetacticalhermit.com\/index.php\/2015\/06\/29\/bad-ass-of-the-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Bad Ass of the Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A good friend frequently sends me these, and although the language is a bit over the top at times, it sure makes for entertaining reading.<\/p>\n<p>I mean even if it is a half-baked propaganda stunt, a dude that is named <em>&#8220;The Angel of Death&#8221;<\/em> and looks like and I quote:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><strong>&#8221; A combination of Kratos and The Rock and goes into battle with a scimitar, an assault rifle, and two iPhones strapped to his armor. &#8220;<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>and he is killing ISIS assholes with impunity?!! \u00a0I am definitely gonna take the time to read about this guy!! Enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6313\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6313\" style=\"width: 620px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hcsblogdotorg.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/06\/abuazrael1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-6313\" src=\"https:\/\/hcsblogdotorg.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/06\/abuazrael1.jpg?w=620\" alt=\"This picture was taken three months ago, during the height of the Battle of Tikrit.\u00a0\u00a0 It is of a man known as Abu Azrael \u2013 the \u201cAngel of Death\u201d \u2013 and he is a national hero of the brave, determined resistance the Iraqi people are putting up against the brutal onslaught of ISIS.\" width=\"620\" height=\"414\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6313\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">This picture was taken three months ago, during the height of the Battle of Tikrit.\u00a0\u00a0 It is of a man known as Abu Azrael \u2013 the \u201cAngel of Death\u201d \u2013 and he is a national hero of the brave, determined resistance the Iraqi people are putting up against the brutal onslaught of ISIS.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here is a picture of a gigantically-jacked bald motherfucker with a huge beard stomping through the bullet-riddled streets of Tikrit, Iraq during one of the largest and most brutal urban street warfare the Middle East has ever seen.\u00a0 He is wearing tactical kevlar body armor packed with grenades, has a grenade-launcher-equipped M4 assault rifle slung from his back, and is carrying a goddamn fucking <em>old-school scimitar<\/em> in a manner that indicates he\u2019s probably swung one of these things in anger before.<\/p>\n<p>If I\u2019m completely honest with you guys, there really isn\u2019t much I can tell you with certainty about the Angel of Death.\u00a0 As can be the case with some of the great mysterious badass motherfuckers from history, there exist only rumors about his history, and since this dude is basically sitting at the top of ISIS\u2019s \u201cPeople We Need to Behead on Twitter\u201d list, he\u2019s not exactly thrilled about the idea of writing down his phone number and home address on a Post-It and sending it to a group of rampaging homicidal Jihadis on a paper airplane.<\/p>\n<p>Some claim that he used to be a lecturer at a university somewhere in Iraq, and that he was once the Iraqi national Taekwondo champion, but that he left his home at age 37 after he saw some ISIS dudes behead a Shi\u2019ite with an axe in the streets outside his house.\u00a0 This is the story I prefer, mostly because it\u2019s weird and awesome, and also because when he re-tells the story he off-handedly comments that he personally tracked down the leader of the beheaders a few days later, grabbed him by the throat, took away the guy\u2019s axe and \u201cbutchered him into gravy,\u201d which is such an awesome pump-up expression that it makes me want to get KFC on the way home from work tonight and eat it straight out of the Styrofoam container like some kind of fucking barbarian.\u00a0 Other folks claim that this dude is actually an experienced Special Operations soldier with decades of combat experience in locations from Lebanon to Syria, and that he could potentially even be a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard who has received additional training from Hezbollah, the Mujahideen, and American Green Berets.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know, maybe he\u2019s some combination of the two.<\/p>\n<p>Read the Remainder at<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/badassoftheweek.com\/index.cgi?id=269178232573\">Bad Ass of the Week<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stay Alert, Stay Armed, Beware of men with Swords and Stay Dangerous!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A good friend frequently sends me these, and although the language is a bit over the top at times, it sure makes for entertaining reading.
