Awareness (noun): Knowledge or perception of a situation or fact.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Let’s face it. Being AWARE<\/strong> can help the CO<\/strong> more than any other skill-set, AVOID,<\/strong> DETER<\/strong> or DE-ESCALATE<\/strong> most bad situations before they get out of hand. Very often CO’s forget that just like any other skill-set in their toolbox, Awareness is perishable and if not kept sharp, can dull and become useless in a hurry. That’s why when the CO are out and about in PUBLIC<\/strong>, they need to make an effort to stay AWARE<\/strong>, \u00a0and not ZONE-OUT!<\/strong><\/p>\n

But for those of you “Quality Parental Units”<\/em> \u00a0out there who find this just too hard to do, No Worries! A tech company has came up with a nifty substitute for that parent with a “dulled or non-existent”<\/em> Awareness \u00a0OR<\/strong> for the parent who just wants to zone out with their phone while their child swims..Introducing the\u00a0iSwimBand<\/a>!!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Only in an age where everybody has their eyes and nose in a phone and not on the world around them, could something like this sell. I really don’t \u00a0know what’s worse, that you have to strap a friggin sensor to your kids head to notify you that they are DROWNING<\/strong> or that a parent \u00a0would actually consider using something so assinine! Come on people! Have not enough kids drowned that you can’t put that phone or book (or alcoholic beverage) down for an hour and watch your kid swim?? really? I hope I am not the only person seeing the underlying problem with this entire concept! And for those who say this is a “supplement” to good water safety I say BULLCRAP!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Does an observant parent really need a blaring alarm on their phone that lets them know their kids has been underwater? I say NO. <\/strong>The only person that needs a product like this is the one who is not<\/strong><\/em><\/span> being OBSERVANT<\/strong> and WATCHING<\/strong> their CHILDREN\u00a0<\/strong>like any loving, responsible parent would!<\/p>\n

Let’s Face Facts: TERRIBLE<\/strong> Things can happen to a young child in just a few seconds WHEN A PARENT IS NOT PAYING ATTENTION:<\/strong><\/p>\n
