{"id":3771,"date":"2014-05-17T12:11:16","date_gmt":"2014-05-17T17:11:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hcstx.org\/?p=3771"},"modified":"2014-05-17T12:11:16","modified_gmt":"2014-05-17T17:11:16","slug":"john-milius-netflix-documentary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thetacticalhermit.com\/index.php\/2014\/05\/17\/john-milius-netflix-documentary\/","title":{"rendered":"John Milius Netflix Documentary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One thing that grabs my attention is anything and everything \u00a0that pisses <strong>LIBERALS<\/strong> off&#8230; That is why I was so pleasantly surprised to see a Netflix Documentary on one of my favorite writers and directors in leftist Hollywood: <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_Milius\"><strong>John Milius<\/strong>.<\/a>\u00a0 Milius is responsible for such awesome and timeless movies as <em>Dirty Harry<\/em>, <em>Apocalypse Now<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Jeremiah Johnson<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The Wind and the Lion<\/em>, <em>Conan the Barbarian<\/em> and <em>Red Dawn<\/em> to name a few. Everybody can name some movies that were influential on them in some way; for me that was almost all of \u00a0John Milius&#8217; films.<\/p>\n<p>I mean what gun-lover and conservative could ever forget <em>Red Dawn<\/em> for God&#8217;s sake! That movie was responsible for me getting my first AK-47! or how about <em>Conan the Barbarian<\/em>, a movie which was responsible for being the fore-runner of all the fantasy movies that would follow such as <em>The Lord of the Rings Trilogy<\/em> and <em>Game of Thrones<\/em> to name a couple.<\/p>\n<p>Most people who consider themselves true movie fans often have no ideal who John Milius is or that he is responsible for some of the most popular <strong>LINES<\/strong> in Hollywood movies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><strong>From Lt. Colonel Bill Kilgore&#8217;s awesome line in Apocalypse Now:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">[youtube=http:\/\/youtu.be\/bPXVGQnJm0w]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><strong>To Eastwood&#8217;s infamous &#8220;Dirty Harry&#8221; Line:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">[youtube=http:\/\/youtu.be\/u0-oinyjsk0]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><strong>and last but not least Schwartzenegger&#8217;s movie debut in Conan:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">[youtube=http:\/\/youtu.be\/6PQ6335puOc]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">Milius is probally one of the most creative writers to <strong>EVER<\/strong> come out of Hollywood.
