{"id":34240,"date":"2020-05-02T15:54:50","date_gmt":"2020-05-02T20:54:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hcsblogdotorg.wordpress.com\/?p=34240"},"modified":"2020-05-02T15:54:50","modified_gmt":"2020-05-02T20:54:50","slug":"as-a-general-rule-crowds-are-bad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thetacticalhermit.com\/index.php\/2020\/05\/02\/as-a-general-rule-crowds-are-bad\/","title":{"rendered":"As a General Rule, Crowds are BAD"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><em>From the Archives, 2018<\/em><\/h2>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"CarShowWreck\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fPvI2srmoxc?start=6&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h2>At a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.victoriaadvocate.com\/news\/pedestrian-hit-at-victoria-car-show-dies\/article_73dfa5ca-4b02-11e8-bd3d-13f9b4f7700f.html\"> car show recently held in Victoria Texas,<\/a> a drunk paroled felon who had been locked up for (wait for it) D.W.I, drove his car into a crowd of people, killing a 65 year old man.<\/h2>\n<h2>This type of threat where a vehicle is used as the weapon, has become common place in the last few years, as witnessed in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-europe-36801671\">Bastille Day Attack in Nice, France<\/a> in 2016 , the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2017_New_York_City_truck_attack\">Hudson River Park Bike Path Attack in New York<\/a> in 2017 and most recently the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/toronto\/van-attack-one-week-later-1.4641130\">Yonge Street Van Attack in Toronto Canada<\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2>Regardless of the motive of the attacker whether it be islamic terrorism or a delusional drunk moron, the end result is the same: <em>Mass carnage.<\/em><\/h2>\n<h2>As John Farnam points out in his recent<a href=\"http:\/\/defense-training.com\/2018\/sudden-death\/\"> quip<\/a><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/defense-training.com\/2018\/sudden-death\/\">,<\/a><\/strong> words like &#8220;security&#8221;, &#8220;protection&#8221; and &#8220;safety&#8221; are words that exist only in the vocabulary of sheeple. It is no longer realistic for the armed civilian to assume any of these things <strong>EXIST<\/strong> when you go out in public.<\/h2>\n<h2>In fact, when you start looking at all of the mass casualty attacks worldwide just in the past five years, the old adage of <em>&#8220;there is safety in numbers&#8221;<\/em> is proven a severe falsehood.<\/h2>\n<h2>In the 21st Century, people gathering in large crowds must now be considered a serious liability to the martial citizen.
