A total of 44 shell casings were recovered at the scene, according to COPA.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Flamingo Jones, 38, was struck three times and sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the Feb. 26 shooting in the 7400 block of South Bennett.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>At 7:37 p.m., officers spotted Jones with a gun and followed him to the rear of a home, according to Chicago police and Chicago Fire Media Affairs. During an ensuing exchange of gunfire, Jones was struck in his side and foot.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, and a weapon was recovered at the scene, authorities said.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jones, a convicted felon, was ordered held without bail at Cook County Jail during a court hearing, Cook County court records show.
