{"id":25537,"date":"2018-10-17T07:25:37","date_gmt":"2018-10-17T12:25:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hcsblogdotorg.wordpress.com\/?p=25537"},"modified":"2018-10-17T07:25:37","modified_gmt":"2018-10-17T12:25:37","slug":"dose-of-truth-mass-distraction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thetacticalhermit.com\/index.php\/2018\/10\/17\/dose-of-truth-mass-distraction\/","title":{"rendered":"Dose of Truth: Mass Distraction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-25539\" src=\"https:\/\/hcsblogdotorg.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/10\/md.png?w=620\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"395\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and we were discussing all of the crazy things going on in the world and after about twenty minutes I realized that not once had we discussed<strong> TRAINING<\/strong> or <strong>PREPPING,<\/strong> two subjects that we are both very passionate about!<\/p>\n<p>That is when it hit me that we are living in a time of <strong>MASS DISTRACTION. <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A time when political buffoonery is on endless loop in the so called &#8220;media&#8221; to the point it is all anybody talks about.<\/li>\n<li>A Time when <em>&#8220;Social Media&#8221;<\/em> consumes peoples lives to the point they now have rehab facilities to &#8220;wean&#8221; people off of it like an addictive drug.<\/li>\n<li>A Time when so called &#8220;news&#8221; is no longer about being truthful and accurate but being <strong>FIRST<\/strong> and the <strong>MOST SENSATIONAL,<\/strong> very often to the point of being <strong>FAKE.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Regardless if you think these types of things are by design or not, two things remains clear.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The Armed Citizen must re-focus their efforts into <strong>SHARPENING<\/strong>\u00a0themselves into becoming effective <strong>WEAPONS\u00a0<\/strong>to defend themselves, their family, their tribe and their home.<\/li>\n<li>We must continue to <strong>PREPARE<\/strong> for the worst case <strong>SCENARIO<\/strong> (ie, Natural Disasters, Civil Unrest, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>So having said all that, the Tactical Hermit will be spending more time sweating at the range and at the gym and less time discussing &#8220;the news&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>I suggest all you good folks do the same!<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The more you <strong>SWEAT<\/strong> in Peace, the <strong>LESS<\/strong> you Bleed in<strong> WAR<\/strong>.&#8221; -General Norman Schwarzkopf<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Stay Alert, Stay Armed Stay Dangerous!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and we were discussing all of the crazy things going on in the world and after about twenty minutes I realized that not once had we discussed TRAINING or PREPPING, two subjects that we are both very passionate about!
