The mass murder at a LGBT nightclub was a tragedy. \u00a0President Obama said the death toll would have been worse if the people in the nightclub were armed for their own defense. \u00a0When asked about the Orlando mass murder, Hillary Clinton rejected armed self-defense and continued her call to disarm civilians. \u00a0Why would ordinary citizens believe the outrageous claim that we\u2019re safer if we\u2019re disarmed? \u00a0Some people think honest American civilians should be disarmed because they can\u2019t imagine anything else. \u00a0Let me show you another way. \u00a0See how we can defeat these vicious armed murderers here in the US.<\/p>\n

You and I cannot respond to a violent attack in ways we have not imagined. \u00a0An armed attack is not like a child\u2019s game of tag on the playground.. only louder and bloodier. \u00a0We won\u2019t invent a defense in the moment we\u2019re faced with a life or death violent encounter. \u00a0We can\u2019t. \u00a0It is too late by the time we are hiding in the bathroom and huddled in fear and clutching our cell phone as we hear people dying next to us. \u00a0Then it is too late, but we can change that today.<\/p>\n

A world-class firearms trainer reminded me of this again today. \u00a0He said, \u201cYou have no time to think. \u00a0Your body can\u2019t go where you mind has not gone before.\u201d \u00a0That means we won\u2019t defend ourselves if we\u2019ve never imagined doing so.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

My friend\u2019s statement about imagination is a political truth as well as a physical one. \u00a0Most US civilians can\u2019t imagine defending themselves. \u00a0They don\u2019t carry a gun every day. \u00a0These unarmed Americans can\u2019t imagine someone who carries. \u00a0These unarmed Americans don\u2019t see themselves stopping a violent attack. \u00a0They naturally assume everyone is as helpless as they are. \u00a0I can\u2019t blame them; they don\u2019t know what they don\u2019t know. \u00a0It is time unarmed Americans heard the truth.<\/p>\n

We walk past armed Americans every day. \u00a0Over 13 million US civilians are licensed to discretely carry a firearm in public. \u00a0Unarmed Americans ignore the thousands of examples of armed self-defense that happen every day. \u00a0Unarmed Americans can\u2019t imagine fighting back.. and winning. \u00a0No one trained their hands.. and their minds. \u00a0For all the talk about the virtues of diversity, the Socialist politicians shout down anyone who mentions fighting back. \u00a0Armed Americans know something they don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Armed Americans are different in profound ways. \u00a0They know violence exists. \u00a0They studied how we are attacked and how we might respond. \u00a0Armed Americans considered how they would respond to violence if they were with family, with friends, or alone. \u00a0They imagined an attack happening in places they frequently go. \u00a0They visualized how they would escape or stop the threat until law enforcement arrived. \u00a0Armed Americans reached answers that are shockingly different from the average unarmed citizen. \u00a0Armed Americans know murderers can be stopped.<\/p>\n

Barack and Hillary are talking to their unarmed base of support when they advocate being disarmed and helpless. \u00a0It is an easy sell. \u00a0The Socialist political base prefers to be dependent on government. \u00a0Self-defense is simply another example of socialist citizens letting the government take care of their personal problems. \u00a0At best, the government responds in hours when the citizen needs help in seconds.<\/p>\n

Socialist politicians said we would be safer if the victims were disarmed. \u00a0Socialist politicians said the same thing after muslim terrorists murdered christians in a gun free school in San Bernardino. \u00a0Socialist politicians again supported disarmament after a muslim terrorist murdered people in a gay nightclub in Orlando. \u00a0Socialists politicians always say that more state control is the answer even though that answer never made civilians safer. \u00a0State control works for politicians, but not for citizens.<\/p>\n

Armed Americans know what works. \u00a0Armed Americans stop violent criminal attacks over three thousand times every day. \u00a0Terrorists suffer bullet wounds like any other violent criminal. \u00a0Armed Americans know that. \u00a0Socialists politicians demand we surrender our safety to an all-powerful government. \u00a0In contrast, armed Americans have seen where that political ignorance leads, where that political surrender leads. \u00a0Armed America doesn\u2019t like it.<\/p>\n

We are watching a political struggle over the issue of disarming honest civilians. \u00a0There are few commonly held beliefs between the two sides and the level of ignorance is staggering. \u00a0We can summarize the debate in these few words.<\/p>\n

The body cannot go where the mind hasn\u2019t been before. \u00a0Terrorists are as easy to kill as anyone else. \u00a0Socialists pretend it isn\u2019t so. \u00a0Armed America knows it\u2019s true.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Now you know too. \u00a0Learn what you can do.<\/p>\n

America doesn\u2019t need to be afraid any longer.<\/strong><\/p>\n
