{"id":16931,"date":"2016-06-30T20:00:54","date_gmt":"2016-07-01T01:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hcstx.org\/?p=16931"},"modified":"2016-06-30T20:00:54","modified_gmt":"2016-07-01T01:00:54","slug":"another-reason-to-be-armed-armed-citizens-stop-mass-murders-a-long-list-of-proof","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thetacticalhermit.com\/index.php\/2016\/06\/30\/another-reason-to-be-armed-armed-citizens-stop-mass-murders-a-long-list-of-proof\/","title":{"rendered":"Another Reason to Be Armed: Armed Citizens STOP Mass Murders&#8211;A Long List of Proof"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16932\" src=\"https:\/\/hcsblogdotorg.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/06\/rime-scene.jpg\" alt=\"rime scene\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It took the Orlando Police three hours to stop a mass murderer in a gay nightclub. \u00a0\u00a0Armed citizens like you responded in seconds. \u00a0This happens not once, but time after time, and month after month. \u00a0Again, you stopped mass murder in May of 2016. \u00a0Similar reports from earlier months <a href=\"https:\/\/slowfacts.wordpress.com\/category\/public-violence\/\">are listed here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>-A mass murder<\/strong> was defined as four victims of an armed attacker. \u00a0I continue to use that definition. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestate.com\/news\/local\/crime\/article82988692.html\">Our first example<\/a> took place in Saint Andrew, South Carolina at about 10 in the morning. \u00a0The store owner and six customers were playing video games in a game store when two criminals tried to rob them. \u00a0The robbers wore masks and one robber carried a handgun. \u00a0The robbers took money from the store owner and then started to rob the customers at gunpoint. \u00a0That gave the store owner the chance he needed. \u00a0The store owner drew his firearm from his pocket and shot the armed robber several times. \u00a0Both robbers ran, and the armed robber shot back. \u00a0The store owner and customers were not hurt. \u00a0Police arrested the robbers at the local hospital.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2013<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fox10phoenix.com\/news\/arizona-news\/140148557-story\">An armed man<\/a><\/strong> came into a Phoenix, Arizona taco restaurant and pointed a pistol at the store clerk. \u00a0The female store clerk opened the cash register and ran away. \u00a0She hid in the bathroom with several other people who worked at the restaurant. \u00a0The robber also approached another store employee, only this employee was armed. \u00a0The armed employee shot and killed the robber. \u00a0The store had been robbed earlier that week. \u00a0This time, none of the employees or customers were hurt. \u00a0The robbery happened at around 9 pm. \u00a0Police are looking for the eight customers who witnessed the robbery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2013<a href=\"http:\/\/www.khou.com\/news\/crime\/breaking-reports-of-shooting-at-office-building-near-nrg-stadium\/185495529\">A mentally ill man wasn\u2019t feeling well.<\/a><\/strong> \u00a0He visited a mental health clinic in Houston, Texas. \u00a0The clinic agreed to reschedule the man\u2019s appointment once he felt better. \u00a0The mentally ill man left, but returned to the clinic a half hour later. \u00a0He kicked through the glass doors, and threatened the staff and patients. \u00a0The patients and staff hid in their offices. \u00a0The violent mentally ill patient kicked on the solid doors as well. The mentally ill man then walked into a neighboring business in the same building. \u00a0There, the mentally ill man lunged at one of the customers. \u00a0The business owner shot him. \u00a0The business owner was licensed to carry a concealed firearm.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, the medical clinic was a \u201cgun free zone\u201d even though\u00a0the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phyins.com\/risk-management\/taking-care\/771\/general\/violence-in-the-health-care-workplace-is-your-organization-prepared\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">more than sixty percent of workplace physical violence occurs in the health care workplace.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2013<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fox13news.com\/news\/local-news\/139624294-story\">A store owner and his son<\/a><\/strong> were working in the back office of their Florida liquor store. \u00a0It was noon when an armed and masked robber demanded money from an employee who walked out the back of the store. \u00a0That employee didn\u2019t have the store\u2019s money, so the employee led the robber up to the other store clerk who was working at the cash register. \u00a0That is when the owner and his son saw the robbery in progress. \u00a0They saw their employees held at gunpoint. \u00a0The robber demanded their money as well. \u00a0The store owner\u2019s son drew his firearm and shot the thief several times. \u00a0The thief died at a local hospital. \u00a0None of the employees or customers were injured.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2013<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kiro7.com\/news\/local\/shoreline-burglary-suspect-shot-by-homeowner\/261730603\">A mentally disturbed man lived in a nearby home.<\/a><\/strong> \u00a0He tried to break into the wrong house, but the first home that the intruder tried to enter had a reinforced door. \u00a0The occupants told the intruder to go away. \u00a0The intruder went to yet another home in this Seattle neighborhood and started throwing furniture through the front window as he yelled and cursed at four in the morning.<\/p>\n<p>This homeowner heard his windows breaking. \u00a0He retreated with his wife and two daughters to their back bedroom. \u00a0The homeowner also had his gun and a phone. \u00a0One of his teenage daughters called police. \u00a0After the stranger broke through the front of the house, the homeowner left the back room. \u00a0The intruder moved toward the homeowner and the homeowner shot him.<\/p>\n<p>Arriving deputies heard the shots and found the wounded suspect in the front yard.
