US Anti-Gun Senator Jamilah Nasheed arrested with a loaded gun, extra clips, and drunk in Ferguson<\/h1>\n

Guess who got arrested Monday night after she refused to get up off the ground out in the middle of the road in front of the Ferguson Police Department?<\/p>\n

And not only arrested, but arrested while her breath reportedly reeked of alcohol and she just so happened to be carrying a fully loaded 9mm with extra ammo?<\/p>\n

Why none other than Anti-gun Missouri Senator Jamilah Nasheed (D-St. Louis), who has herself sponsored multiple gun control bills.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a symbolic arrest \u2013 sending a message to the protesters that we can protest peacefully and that we must protest peacefully and that we want justice for Michael Brown, but we don\u2019t want it in vain,\u201d Nasheed said outside the jail Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

Here she is below chanting in the street in protest of the Michael Brown shooting \u2014 which the autopsy has now revealed happened after Brown went for Police Officer Darren Wilson\u2019s gun \u2014 prior to her arrest. Police gave the Senator and her companion numerous warnings to get out of the street and back on the sidewalk before they arrested her but she refused to budge.<\/p>\n

So the Senator\u2019s message to Ferguson protesters on how to protest \u201cpeacefully\u201d involves what police describe as \u201cintoxicants,\u201d carrying a loaded gun, and kneeling in front of traffic in the middle of a busy street and refusing to move?<\/p>\n

The Senator told KMOV4 that she has a concealed carry permit, yet police seized her gun and the rounds upon her arrest. When KMOV4 asked Ferguson Police Officer Tim Zoll why the gun was taken if Nasheed had a permit, Zoll replied, \u201cIf she had a concealed carry permit, I\u2019m sure she would have shown it to the officers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Congressman Who Staged Occupy Sit-In For \u201cNo Fly No Buy\u201d Was Actually On Terror Watch List<\/h1>\n

Dozens of United States Congressmen staged a sit-in during House Floor proceedings on Wednesday to make sure gun control legislation that would be a major violation of due process and constititional rights came to a vote.<\/p>\n

Leading the charge for the sit-in is Georgia Rep. John Lewis. some of the legislation that he was trying to push to come to a vote was a \u201cno-fly, no-buy\u201d measure which would prevent those on a terror watch list from purchasing a firearm. However, bureaucrats secretly place people on the terror watch list with no due process and this legislation would deny constitutional rights to people with no due process. And there are countless statements about the government abusing the \u201cno fly list\u201d for political purposes.<\/p>\n

Lewis, himself, however has been flagged by the TSA and has been stopped multiple times when trying to fly.<\/p>\n

Lewis took part in the civil rights movement since the days of Martin Luther King Jr.<\/p>\n

Names on the terror watch list can stay on the list for years, showing that it is much easier to get on the list, then to get off it. In John Lewis\u2019 case, he was held up 35 to 40 times by TSA in the course of a year.<\/p>\n

According to an old CNN report, spokesman Brenda Jones said Lewis tried to contact the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Transportation and numerous executives of various airlines to get his name off the list. Lewis instead got a letter from the TSA to present to ticket agents to show that he cleared an identity check with them.<\/p>\n
