No Fly, No Buy?<\/p>\n

Our nation\u2019s highly secretive \u201cNo Fly List,\u201d was created in response to the 2001 World Trade Center Attacks in NYC. It is maintained by the mysterious \u201cTerrorist Screening Center\u201d (TSC), ostensibly organized under the FBI, but about which little is publically known.<\/p>\n

Standards for getting on the \u201clist\u201d are unknown. Who is on the \u201clist\u201d is unknown, and the procedure for getting off the \u201clist\u201d is also unknown. There is apparently no appeal process, and no one even knows whom to call. There is never any explanation, nor notification, nor warning, nor \u201cdue process\u201d in any form.<\/p>\n

Those on the \u201clist\u201d are prohibited from boarding any commercial airliner, and therefore are unable to participate fully in the American economic system. We\u2019re told the \u201clist\u201d contains 50k names.<\/p>\n

The separate \u201cTerrorist Watch List\u201d (TSDB), also maintained by the FBI, contains over two million names. Presumably, all on the \u201cNo Fly List\u201d are also on the TSDB.<\/p>\n

In the wake of the Orlando shooting of last Sunday, many are now suggesting that all those of the \u201cNo Fly List,\u201d and the TSDB, also be automatically prohibited from buying guns.<\/p>\n

What worries many, including me, is that the sleazy BHO Administration has openly \u201cpoliticized\u201d virtually every federal agency that is supposed to be exempt from politics, from the CDC to the DHS!<\/p>\n

So, what happens when innocent Americans who write \u201cletters to the editor\u201d of newspapers critical of the Administration, or who openly support opposing political campaigns, or who are members of the NRA and other organizations, or religions, venomously hated by the Administration, go into a gun retailer and discover that they are, without any explanation, suddenly and indefinitely prohibited from purchasing a gun?<\/p>\n

Democrat Senator Joe Manchin of WV sadly lamented on this very subject yesterday:<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 \u2018due process\u2019 is what\u2019s killing us right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yes, our \u201cinconvenient\u201d right to due process, so important to our nation\u2019s Founders, is now getting in the way of this Democrat\u2019s wet-dream of a utopian police state!<\/p>\n

When \u201cdue process\u201d can be casually bypassed with regard to our Second Amendment Rights, the same logic will be quickly applied, by liberal Democrats (with the tacit approval of spineless \u201cRepublicans\u201d), to our First and Forth Amendment Rights too!<\/p>\n

In 1938, when Nazi troopers kicked-in doors of the homes of unarmed Jewish families, and precipitously dragged them off to \u201cre-education\u201d camps, always with no explanation, no warning, no \u201cdue process,\u201d and no means of appeal, it was piously justified in terms of \u201cnational security.\u201d Jews all found themselves on the \u201cNo Fly List\u201d and \u201cTerrorist Watch List\u201d of the era!<\/p>\n

Most never lived through it!<\/p>\n

\u201cFoolish liberals, who are trying to read the Second Amendment out of the Constitution by claiming it\u2019s not an individual right, or that it\u2019s too much of a public safety hazard, don\u2019t see the danger in the big picture. They\u2019re courting disaster by encouraging others to use the same means to eliminate portions of the Constitution they don\u2019t like.\u201d -Alan Dershowitz<\/em><\/p>\n
