Too bad A lot MORE innocent people are going to die because of it. -SF<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-11697\" src=\"https:\/\/hcsblogdotorg.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/02\/defense-large.jpg?w=620\" alt=\"defense-large\" width=\"620\" height=\"284\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"d1-post-title\" style=\"text-align:center;\"><span class=\"caps\">ISIS<\/span> Fighters Have Entered Germany Disguised as Refugees, Berlin\u2019s Top Spy\u00a0Says<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"headline\">\n<div class=\"d1-title-container\">\n<div class=\"d1-subhead-container\">\n<p class=\"d1-subhead\"><span class=\"outer\"><span class=\"inner\"><span class=\"inner-inner\">That just one day after police arrested three Algerians with suspected ties to the Islamic State who were reportedly planning an attack on the German capital<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text\">\n<p><strong>The head of Germany\u2019s domestic intelligence agency <\/strong>says<span class=\"caps\">ISIS<\/span> members slipped into the country along with the more than 1 million refugees who have entered, but added there was no concrete evidence of an imminent\u00a0attack.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"d1-inline-subscribe-container newsletter\">\n<blockquote>\n<h3 class=\"d1-inline-subscribe-title\">\u201cWe have repeatedly seen that terrorists \u2026 have slipped in camouflaged or disguised as refugees,\u201d Hans-Georg Maassen, the head of the BfV, told <span class=\"caps\">ZDF<\/span>, the German public broadcaster, on Friday. \u201cThis is a fact that the security agencies are\u00a0facing.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p>He added: \u201cWe are trying to recognize and identify whether there are still more <span class=\"caps\">IS<\/span> fighters or terrorists from <span class=\"caps\">IS<\/span> that have slipped\u00a0in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>English translation of the remarks were<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/german-intel-head-no-evidence-of-imminent-terrorist-attack\/a-19029002\">\u00a0provided by Deutsche Welle<\/a>, the German\u00a0broadcaster.<\/p>\n<p>Maassen\u2019s remarks came a day after<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/german-police-arrest-algerian-suspects-allegedly-plotting-attack-in-berlin\/a-19027549\">\u00a0police in Berlin arrested three Algerians<\/a>\u00a0with suspected ties to <span class=\"caps\">ISIS<\/span> who, they say, were planning a terrorist attack on the German capital. Among those arrested was a 35-year-old man held at the refugee shelter in Attendorn, Germany, who was the alleged head of the cell. Authorities say he entered the European Union posing as a\u00a0refugee.<\/p>\n<div id=\"defenseone-instream-ad\" class=\"ad ad-defenseone-instream hidemobile hidetablet\">\u00a0\u201cWe are in a serious situation and there is a high risk that there could be an attack,\u201d Maassen told <span class=\"caps\">ZDF<\/span>. \u201cBut the security agencies, the intelligence services and the police authorities are very alert and our goal is to minimize the risk as best we\u00a0can.\u201d<\/div>\n<p>Europe has been on high alert since last year\u2019s deadly attacks on Paris that killed 130 people. That attack, which was claimed by <span class=\"caps\">ISIS<\/span>, coincided with Europe\u2019s largest refugee crisis since World War <span class=\"caps\">II<\/span>. Hundreds of thousands of people are fleeing the civil war in Syria and unrest elsewhere and seeking refuge in Europe. Germany, which has announced an open-door policy for Syrian asylum-seekers, is their most-favored\u00a0destination.<\/p>\n<p>But critics of Germany\u2019s policy, and indeed of Europe\u2019s acceptance of the newcomers, point to the growth of <span class=\"caps\">ISIS<\/span> in Syria and other restive parts of the Arab and Muslim world. Terrorists, they say, could enter Europe posing as refugees.
