{"id":11464,"date":"2016-02-03T06:10:25","date_gmt":"2016-02-03T12:10:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hcstx.org\/?p=11464"},"modified":"2016-02-03T06:10:25","modified_gmt":"2016-02-03T12:10:25","slug":"another-reason-to-be-armed-nc-military-wife-and-mom-shoots-and-kills-home-intruder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thetacticalhermit.com\/index.php\/2016\/02\/03\/another-reason-to-be-armed-nc-military-wife-and-mom-shoots-and-kills-home-intruder\/","title":{"rendered":"Another Reason to be Armed: NC Military Wife and Mom Shoots and Kills Home Intruder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11465\" src=\"https:\/\/hcsblogdotorg.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/02\/tacticalshotgun2-016.jpg\" alt=\"Tacticalshotgun2-016\" width=\"350\" height=\"291\" \/><\/p>\n<p>LUMBER BRIDGE, NC (WBTW) \u2013 No charges have been filed against a Lumber Bridge mother who shot and killed a Fayetteville man who was reportedly burglarizing her home on Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The Robeson County Sheriff\u2019s Office says deputies were dispatched to an alarm activation call at a home at 6106 NC 20 West on Friday morning around 10:27 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>While deputies were driving to the home, a woman called police to say she shot a man who had broken into her home.<\/p>\n<p>The woman, who is married to a soldier, was out with her toddler-aged child running errands earlier when the man broke into the home, the <em>Fayetteville Observer<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Major Anthony Thompson says the woman told investigators that she came home Friday morning and saw a car parked in her front yard.<\/p>\n<p>She grabbed her gun in her car and walked up to her front door to see if it had been kicked in. After she entered her home, the woman told police that she saw a man, holding her iPad, walking toward her.<\/p>\n<p>The woman fired her gun multiple times at the intruder. The man died inside the home, confirmed Major Thompson.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle being operated by the suspect was a Jeep Wrangler that had been reported stolen from Hoke County. The suspect was later identified through fingerprints as Brian Keith Ratley of Fayetteville.<\/p>\n<p>No charges have been filed.
